In 2023, while working at We Are Social, we collaborated with TikTok Germany to develop several ongoing content formats for their official social channels. We turned real-time trends into playful, creator-led stories that captured Gen Z culture.

(Context)
Each format reflected what users were already engaging with on the platform. From BookTok and Food Trends to App Feature Highlights and the Youth Word of the Year. The goal was to make TikTok’s own channel feel as lively and authentic as its community. Among the formats were This or That, filmed at the Barbie movie premiere, and Aus dem Nähkästchen, where creators shared their passions and niche stories.
(My Role)
I helped shape TikTok-native content through editing, animation, and motion design, combining humor, sound, and subtitles into one cohesive style. Collaborating with the TikTok Germany team offered a deep look into the platform’s evolving trends. What the team aimed to represent, what resonated with the algorithm, and how the brand world of TikTok operates from the inside. It was a highly insightful and learning-rich experience.
